Thank you for visiting my little galerie filled with objects I collected over the last twenty years. From antique textiles, folk art to paintings which somehow strung a cord and an occasional 18th century Swedish chair… this collection will still continue to grow and evolve but is also ready to go…

Reflecting on all those years of hunting and collecting just one word comes into my mind: pleasure. I believe that is how art and antiques should be: fun and cool, pour le seul plaisir. I can only hope I will succeed in transmitting this plaisir to my customers. Please enter my little universe which is La Dilettante and enjoy!

As an introvert I struggle to talk about myself. But here I go: in my sixties, living in the Netherlands and partly en Provence where I like to immerse myself in the douceur de vivre to the extent that I sometimes even forget to go treasure hunting. My favorite era must be the 18th century where fashion and furniture were alike: rather uncomfortable but totally colorful and elegant. Having said that, as a real Dilettante I find pleasure in simply anything I consider beautiful or fun. I will never walk away from a good vintage or modern item.
